Senior Analyst, Indigenous Housing (Position can be located anywhere in Canada)

Join the Client Solution Team,  where our partners view CMHC as the catalyst for solving housing affordability challenges .We are constantly evolving to build an inclusive housing system through research, design, innovation and partnerships. In this role, you will establish and maintain strong business relationships with internal and external clients to address risk management, compliance matters and make recommendations on how to improve processes/reporting to achieve our targets and outcomes. 


This position has a duration of 18 months



  • Work with CMHC Indigenous Housing Specialists, other internal CMHC Teams and Indigenous Government or organizations to track progress, to help resolve problems and to accelerate the delivery of housing projects. 
  • Works with clients to address risk management and compliance matters that affect program eligibility. 
  • Develops expert knowledge of CMHC’s Client Relationship Management system to identify recording gaps and opportunities in delivering exceptional service to our clients
  • Guides new and/or existing clients and participants through CMHC's policies and program requirements and provides on-line portal application support as needed.
  • Leveraging existing reporting tools, you will create regional reports which measure performance progress against established targets and outcomes and identify gaps and opportunities to improve results
  • Communicates proactively with clients on all program, policy and/or product changes and improvements in an effective and timely manner. 
  • Acts as a liaison between various internal sectors and external stakeholders in implementing initiatives and sharing valuable client and industry information and intelligence by recording and sourcing data via Client Relationship Management system 

Minimal Requirements 


  • Undergraduate degree in a relevant field such as Commerce, Business Administration or in a related field and at least three (3) years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • Knowledge of Indigenous Government and Indigenous organizations (on or off reserve). 
  • Understanding of Indigenous housing and awareness of social, economic and political trends affecting the provision of housing. 
  • Knowledge of housing finance, planning and ability to analyze, reason, and work within complex frameworks.
  • Demonstrated relationship management abilities, oral and written skills and negotiation skills, including persuasive discussions and presentations to small and large groups. . 
  • A valid driver’s license is an asset, as this position may involve infrequent travel.
