Senior Analyst, Housing Finance Policy and Data Analysis(Position can be located anywhere in Canada)

Join the Policy and Innovation Team under, where we accelerate housing affordability through evidence-based policy, research and disruptive innovation. 

 

Responsibilities:

• Conduct quantitative and qualitative research and analysis to support the development and analysis of housing finance policy and/or programs.
• Scan and assess the internal and external operating environment for emerging policy and/or programs.
• Collect, analyze and synthesize data  from diverse sources and provide analysis on specific issues and ad hoc projects
• Supports existing code and writes new code to support data driven policy advice.
• Collaborates with team members and provides analytics expertise to support the development of policy proposals.
• Represent CMHC at, and organize as required, meetings, committees, and working groups.
• Develop a variety of written documentation, presentations and briefing materials.


Minimum Qualifications:

• Undergraduate degree in  Business Administration, Economics or data science.
• Minimum of three years experience in data analysis.
• Strong research and analytical thinking skills.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Experience working with Excel, Python, R, PowerBI and/or Stata
