About the role
We are hiring full-time Fall interns beginning in September through December 2026. Our internship program is designed to help you grow, with access to training resources, interesting projects, and networking sessions that support your development and help you discover your full potential.
The External Affairs team is seeking a motivated student to support in communications, event coordination, and administrative support within a dynamic environment.
What you need to succeed:
- Draft communications products related to ministerial announcements (news releases, speaking notes, media advisories, event scenarios, etc.)
- Liaise with event suppliers (audio-visual companies, photographers, publishers)
- Liaise with different CMHC departments (web, social media, translation, etc. )
- Perform project coordination and administrative duties associated with producing the events.
- Ensure compliance with the organizations’ regulations and procedures.
- Contribute to ensure quality control of all communications products related to ministerial events and announcements.
- Contribute to reporting and data entry management. Perform basic data analysis and research specific related to communications and marketing.
What you need to succeed:
- Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a post-secondary degree in a related discipline such as Events Management, Communications, Marketing, and Business Administration.
- Previous experience working in communications, external affairs, and events management and coordination.
- Experience can be acquired through the studies, work experience or volunteer activities.
- Good judgment, excellent organizational and planning skills and the ability to work independently as well as within a team setting.
