About the role
Join the Apartment Construction Loan Program, in the role of Bilingual Senior Specialist, Multi- Unit (housing program). In this position, your financial analysis skills and passion for building strong client relationships will help achieve our government program objectives.
This is a temporary position with a duration of 24 months.
What you’ll do:
- Apply sound judgement and decision-making practices based on complex financial analysis while making recommendations.
- Identify and manage risk by exercising due diligence while reviewing and approving complex requests, monitoring the quality of results and reviewing key performance indicators.
- Provide guidance in the use of technical financial tools, and review requests that are complex, high value or involve significant risk.
- Maintain quality relationships with clients to understand their needs, objectives, and explore opportunities.
- Develop and coach other team members.
- Communicate decisions, interpreting policies and responding to inquiries related to CMHC’s housing programs.
- Implement process improvements for increased efficiencies and enhanced customer experience.
- Manage sensitive issues by demonstrating critical thinking, judgment and know-how to find solutions.
What you should have:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, or Commerce and seven (7) years’ experience in construction financing, real estate, financial markets or credit risk analysis for Multi-Unit properties.
- Proven experience in program administration.
- Specialized knowledge of housing financing.
- Expert knowledge of underwriting theories, principles and processes.
- The ability to present ideas in a clear and convincing manner in order to have proposals or plans accepted.
- The ability to motivate others, influence and develop their potential.
- Bilingualism (English and French).
