Responsibilities: 

 

  • Ensure prudent, effective and efficient delivery of program initiatives and consistency in the application and interpretation of program policies and operational procedures.
  • Provide quality, reliable and timely outputs from CMHC.
  • Develop strategies, identify improvements and collaborate on issue resolution with partners and stakeholders.
  • Gather intelligence on client needs and issues and communicate insights. Develop strategies or solutions to address client needs.
  • Manage risk by monitoring the quality of results, market conditions and key performance indicators (KPIs), and by taking appropriate action.
  • Resolve contentious and complex issues directly with clients or stakeholders, engaging additional internal and external resources as necessary.
  • Develop and oversee data collection and leverage information to develop strategies to improve outcomes.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key clients and stakeholders.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

 

  • Undergraduate degree in a related field, such as business administration, finance or commerce.
  • Minimum of seven years of relevant experience, including five years of supervisory experience.
  • A strong knowledge of community housing and/or on-reserve housing as well as knowledge and understanding of CMHC housing programs and social and affordable housing management principles and processes would be an asset. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional ability to adapt to an ever-changing environment with the ability to lead others in times of change.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to influence, persuade others and present information to a variety of audiences.
  • Well-developed research and data collection and intelligence-gathering skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
